How to Mix Your Fall and Summer Wardrobe

I am loving this fall weather, but unfortunately in Texas it's not cold enough to pull out all of my favorite winter pieces. For now I'll settle for mix matching sweaters with a few summer pieces.

Pulling out an old skirt or a pair of ripped denim shorts with an oversize sweater is a great way to stay warm without over heating. I hate when it's 60 in the morning's and by the afternoon you're dying from heat exhaustion. You can also pair your sweater with a long layering tank underneath so if it does get too hot you can always lose the sweater!

If it would have been just a little cooler I would have paired this with booties and sheer black tights, but since it was 85 today I wanted a cooler shoe that still looked appropriate for fall - which the faux suede makes possible.

You can also add as many accessories as you want like a scarf or jewelry. I'm not big on jewelry and I like my looks to be a little more on the simple side, but that's just my personal preference.

This sweater is from H&M and so comfortable. I got it last year for under $10, but of course it's no longer available. I have linked a similar sweater below.

My skirt is faux suede and pairs well with any long sleeve top. Once it gets a cold out I'm probably going to wear it with over the knee boots, a turtleneck, and one of my fur collared cardigans. Also helps take this cozy look from casual to a more polished outfit.

Sunglasses are Quay and ON SALE! I originally bought them for $50 at Nordstrom, but found them for $35! (Linked below)

Now the best part, these Jessica Simpson Faux Suede Heels! I love how unique these heels are and how they are appropriate for day and night, winter or summer. They're currently on sale and available in 3 different colors.
